WHAT CAN I EXPECT AT COVENANT CHURCH?

We are incredibly excited that you are thinking about being our guest! In anticipation of your arrival, we have created a top 10 list of questions that might help you better prepare for your first experience at Covenant Church. We can’t wait to meet you and look forward to developing a new friendship.

WHEN AND WHERE ARE SERVICES?
We gather every Sunday morning at 10:30 am at 4550 Centennial Lane, Ellicott City, MD 21042 and online.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN WHEN I VISIT FOR THE FIRST TIME?
If you are a first time guest at Covenant Church, we promise not to embarrass you. We understand your desire to be “anonymous” in your first visit. So here is what will take place: (1) You will be invited to stop by our Connect Desk, (2) We will ask you to fill out a Connect Card, (3) You will then receive a FREE gift of appreciation and (4) We hope that you enjoy your experience! Don’t forget to fill out that Connect Card, which is available both digitally and hard copy! We want to follow up with you after your visit. If you feel uncomfortable giving out your personal information, there is no obligation.

WHAT WILL THE SERVICE BE LIKE?
During a Covenant Church worship service you will hear dynamic music, relevant teaching, and you will meet some of the friendliest people on the planet. Our services usually last an hour and a half, and don’t worry, boredom will never be an issue.

WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS?
We love kids at Covenant and kids seem to love it here too! When you and your family arrive at Covenant Church, you will be directed to our Covenant Kids Check – In station. There you will be asked to input all of the important information concerning your children. We will then invite your child to join us for our Nursery (birth – 2 years of age), Covenant Cove (Pre-School Ages: 3-5), or Covenant Kids (Elementary Grades: K – 5th) services.  We provide children with a safe, exciting, high-energy atmosphere that is centralized on the idea that it can NEVER be too early for someone to start their personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

AM I EXPECTED TO GIVE MONEY?
We do allow people the opportunity to give their tithes and offerings during our worship experience. If you would like to participate in giving, we thank you in advance.  Financial contributions, like yours, helps us to take the message of hope all around the globe. We believe that all of our giving is in response to God and part of our worship. However, it is important to us that our guests do not feel any pressure to give financially.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
We encourage you to wear whatever you would normally wear. We are more concerned with getting to know you than with what you are wearing. At Covenant Church you will never see one particular style of clothing.

DO YOU HAVE SMALL GROUPS?
Yes! At Covenant our small groups are designed to make disciples, one relationship at a time. We call our small groups GroupLife and they are an important part of Covenant Church! In fact, we believe you haven’t fully experienced our church until you have experienced our GroupLife. This ministry allows you to meet other people, just like you, and to develop relationships that will strengthen your walk with God. As Covenant Church continues to grow in size, our GroupLife allow us to “stay small” and connected.

HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED IN GROUPLIFE?
Simply stop by our “Next Steps” table located just outside of our main venue. There we can get you connected into the right group. You can also visit our GroupLife section of this website for more information.

WHAT IS THE NEXT STEPS TABLE?
The Next Steps table is located just outside of our main venue and set up for you to take the Next Steps in your journey to follow Christ. Here at Covenant Church we believe there are five essential next steps: Baptism, Connect Track, Commitment, GroupLife and Serving. What is your next step?
